Populus.

Best decision in a long time,
Last night at the Cabaret Just for Laugh, Populus was playing a full set of pleasure.
And I’m not just saying that because they played a cover of an Harmonium song that was on repeat on my Ipod all week.
I hadnt seen them play since the summer, but this full production was not only amazing to listen but equally entertaining to watch.
The band started out songs from their demo album : Epiphany.
They identify themselves to the progressive rock/metal genre but really I find it hard to identify the exact magic behind the catchy melodies, deep lyrics and experimental fusion that made me melt in my leather pants last night.
For the last songs, violins, flutes and bass joined in as the lead signer’s fingers raced on his two guitars. Something you’d just have to be there to experience.
Of course I urge you to visit their site/myspace/facebook, and listen to the tracks.
